With a view to curb road accidents in Gurgaon, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Municipal Corporation, Gurgaon and Maruti Suzuki India limited under which various intersections and roads would be improved.
Gurgaon Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Tl Satyaprakash on Thursday said that Maruti Suzuki India limited would get a study conducted regarding traffic density, causes of mishaps, prevention of mishaps and safety of pedestrians and drivers on HUDA City Centre Metro Station to Signature Tower Chowk, HUDA City Centre Metro Station to IFFCO Chowk and IFFCO Chowk to Sikanderpur roads.
This study would be conducted by an expert agency which would also spread awareness among people, said he.
He said that the company would also assist the Municipal Corporation in carrying out structural improvement of roads.
Under this MoU, a scheme would be prepared for improvement and safety of IFFCO Chowk, Signature Tower Chowk, lt. Atul Kataria Chowk, MDI Chowk, HUDA City Centre Chowk, IMT Manesar Chowk, Sector 23 Chowk and Hero Honda Chowk, he added.
