Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev on Wednesday lashed out at Congress president Sonia Gandhi on corruption while campaigning for SAD-BJP candidate Prem Singh Chandumajra for the Anandpur Sahib lok Sabha constituency.
Terming the Gandhi family as the ‘Gangotri of Corruption’, Ramdev maintained that the people of India have lost their faith in the ruling party which has indulged in biggest scam during their decade long rule.
He left no stone unturned to ridicule the Congress Party and in a scathing attack said that just like their candidate Imran Masood, the party is suffering from an ideological void, which has made them stoop to the lowest level, while campaigning.
“The words used by Masood is not his own but it is the voice of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, who have been supporting him. Congress as a party is against Hindus, and they hate saints and hence they have slapped more than 1,000 charges against me, which clearly shows their intention,” said Baba Ramdev.
The Yoga Guru, who is close to the BJP said that he is campaigning for the party because he has been assured by the party that they will support him in his endeavour to bring back black money stashed in foreign banks.
Ramdev said Sonia Gandhi is not in the best of her health and her son, Rahul Gandhi, who is the vice-president of the party, is not wise enough to run ademocratic country like India. People have sensed this and their verdict will be the last nail in the coffin for the Congress party.
Pitching Narendra Modi as the suitable candidate for the post of Prime Minister, he said the Congress is suffering from depression as even before the elections public has made it imminent that NDA is going to form a strong Government at the Center.
During the course of the campaigning Ramdev said that Congress’s choice of candidate for the Anandpur lok Sabha constituency is a joke. Mocking the candidature of Ambika Soni, he said, “It is a picnic spot for her, where she visits during the election season. However, her actual destination is Delhi where she spends most of her time.”
Baba Ramdev will campaign for the SAD-BJP alliance in various parts of Punjab and will also garner support for BJP stalwart Arun Jaitley in Amritsar, where congress has pitched Amarinder Singh, former chief minister of Punjab, making it a stiff competition.
