Former Minister and BJP’s MlA from Bhiwani, Ghanshyam Saraf’s official car on Tuesday morning crushed a 48-year-old woman to death in Karnal district.
The accident happened when the deceased identified as a resident of Uchana village was crossing the road along with her teenage daughter, who was also injured.
As per the witnesses, the MlA was seated in the car when the mishap occurred. Following the incident, people blocked the road and protested against the MlA.
Police officials said the car has been confiscated and a case has been against the unknown. Investigation is going on and deceased’s body has been sent to the civil hospital for post mortem, said Police.
Meanwhile, Saraf has refuted the allegations of negligence and over-speeding which led to the killing of a woman.
