Former Edu Minister Bahadur Singh joins JJP

Former Education Minister Bahadur Singh on Monday joined the newly-formed Jannayak Janta Party (JJP).

The former Minister joined the JJP in the presence of party’s patron Ajay Chautala in Dadri.

Bahadur Singh had unsuccessfully contested 2014 assembly polls from Loharu seat on the Haryana Janhit Congress ticket. HJC had merged into Congress in 2016.

He was state Education Minister during the tenure of former Chief Minister OP Chautala.

A day before, Shiromani Akali Dal’s lone legislator in Haryana Assembly, Balkaur Singh had also joined the JJP.

The JJP had come into existence a month ago following a split in the INLD, after a bitter power struggle between Ajay Chautala and Abhay Singh Chautala, the grandsons of Devi Lal who had founded the INLD.

While talking to the mediapersons, Ajay Chautala on Monday said that the stature of JJP is increasing as senior and prominent leaders from various political parties are joining the party. About ensuing Jind bypolls, he said that the party will announce its candidate on Tuesday after a meeting with party workers in Jind.
