For BJP country is motherland, for Cong only land: Hry CM

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Wednesday described nationalism as first religion  saying that the BJP considered the country as the motherland whereas for the opposition Congress, it is only a piece of land.

The Chief Minister, while addressing Vijay Sankalp rally at Barara in Ambala Lok Sabha constituency, said that if the borders of the country are secure only then the people could live in peace.

On the occasion, he asked those present whether they are getting cooking gas cylinders with ease to which all replied positively. If anyone faces any difficulty in getting cylinders they could contact their local MLA or MP, he said adding that now, there is no shortage of cooking gas cylinders unlike in the Congress regime when people had to wait for days to get refill.

Referring to the Congress manifesto’s assurance of repealing laws relating to sedition, he said that the intention of the opposition party is not to unite the country but disintegrate it.

The Chief Minister said that the Congress during its 70 years rule at the Centre failed to fulfill the basic needs of the citizens and in every election kept on misleading the people through false promises, including Garibi Hatao.

But the people of the country have understood the designs of the Congress and during the current Lok Sabha elections would not fall prey to the misleading poll promises announced by Rahul Gandhi in party’s poll manifesto, Manohar Lal said.

He said that the people have realised that they are safe under Modi rule which also ensured development of all the areas. Due to this, people have made up their mind to ensure the return of Modi as the Prime Minister, Manohar Lal said adding that even otherwise Rahul Gandhi is no match to Modi.

The Chief Minister further said that the country saw rapid progress on economic and social sectors benefitting various sections of the society including women, farmers, youth and the unemployed during the BJP rule.

Appealing to the people to vote for the BJP candidate from Ambala, Rattan Lal Kataria, Manohar Lal said that this will strengthen the hands of the Prime Minister and also result in acceleration of the developmental programmes besides ensuring the security and integrity of the country.

Speaking on the occasion Rattan Lal Kataria said that it was shameful for the Congress that despite 70 years in power at the Centre they could not ensure electricity to all the villagers.

The people realised in the past five years as to how development was undertaken by the Modi government during its five year rule, Kataria said adding that all have to ensure that Modi again takes oath as country’s Prime Minister after the counting on May 23.
