In a bid to rein in the use of malpractices and copying in the State’s technical education exams, the Punjab Government has instructed authorities to set up flying squad teams.
The instructions to this effect have been issued by the State Technical Education and Industrial Training Minister Anil Joshi. “Annual exams are about to start in all Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and Polytechnics of the State and the department has resolved to check copying in these exams,” said Joshi, in a press communiqué.
Joshi said that the instructions have also been issued for the proposed flying squad teams to file UMC cases; complete in all respect, otherwise the responsibility of all incomplete cases would be fixed upon the supervisor of the flying squad team and the head of the institution concerned.
“If any case of copying comes up, the principal of the institution will also be held responsible and departmental action will be taken against him,” Joshi said.
