Haryana State Vigilance Bureau on Monday has caught five officials of Public Health Engineering Department, Kosli in district Rewari, red-handed while accepting illegal gratification of Rs35,500 from one Anand Parkash Gupta, a resident of Bhiwani.
A spokesman of the Bureau said those caught included, Jitender Hooda, Executive Engineer, Raj Kumar, Sub Divisional Officer, Dalbir Singh Bura, Junior Engineer, Anil, Accounts Officer and Gulshan Kumar, senior clerk.
They accepted the bribe in lieu of drawl of bills of EAPBX boxes, CCTV cameras and networking system. A case has been registered against them under Sections 7 and 13 of Prevention of Corruption Act at Bureau’s PS in Gurgaon. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
