The accident took place at the tailend of the flyover in front of the main entrance of District Court complex.

Police said that cause of accident was high speed, since driver of the car lost his control over the steering wheel while negotiating a sharp curve at the tail end of newly built flyover. Among five killed, three were identified as Sandeep Kumar (35), Gourav (30) Prince (28).

Eye witness Manjit Singh said that after accident the car was seen rolling in the air before it fell down on ground. Bodies were extracted from the badly mingled car with the help of  group of people. All occupants were found dead, immediately after the accident, he said.

Family members of the dead blamed district administration for throwing open an incomplete flyover.  There were lot of technical snags yet to be removed, but administration in a hush hush manner thrown open the flyover in order to get political mileage during the Parliament Elections, said  Sunil Kumar brother of Gourav who lost life during accident.
