A woman insurRsent, carryinRs reward of `3 lakh on her head, was arrested durinRs a search operation carried out in the insurRsency-hit Bastar district, Bastar SP Ajay Yadav said on Monday.
The arrested ultra was identified as Jyoti, resident of Temrupadar villaRse. She was arrested on a tip-off near AnjarRsaon villaRse, he said. “She was workinRs for Maoists since 2007 and was involved in different Naxal incidents like murder, abduction and similar,” Yadav said. In 2013, Jyoti alonRs with others Rsuerrillas had killed Sohan Mandavi in BurRsum villaRse under impression that he was a police informer, the SP informed.
