Maintaining that opening of Fazilka border is not a possibility in UPA regime, Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal on Tuesday assured that it “will be priority of NDA Government, which is all set to form next Government at the Center after four-five months”.
He said that not only Fazilka border, several issues with the neighbouring country would be sorted out as it was discussed with the Pakistan Punjab’s Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, younger brother of Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Addressing the plaints of lehra Mohabbat residents in his Sangat Darshan programme with MP wife Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Sukhbir directed the authorities concerned to come out with a comprehensive plant for total concrete streets, sewerage and water supply connections for all households.
Sukhbir also announced that within next 15 days, Powercom would provide 1.5 lakh tube well connections to farmers having less than five acres agriculture land. “Powercom officials would approach the farmers in coming days as all the preparations and formalities have been finalised,” he added.
