The fate of French architect le Corbusier’s magnum opus—Governor’s Palace—envisaged in Capitol Complex is likely to be decided soon.

A meeting has been convened on August 3 in UT Administration to chalk out plans for this project. The meeting would be crucial to decide the fate of long-delayed ambitious project of city’s architect le Corbusier. Although never built, Governor’s Palace remained as a key element of Corbusier’s original concept of Capitol Complex in Chandigarh. Even as the concept of Governor's Palace was later substituted by the ‘Museum of Knowledge’, this project too could not be realized.

A senior official of the UT Administration said, “The Administration has constituted a Committee to chalk out plans for this project. Now, the Committee members and UT senior officials will discuss about the future of this project in its first meeting to be held on August 3.
