Soon after the Centre on Wednesday told the Delhi High Court that a prima facie case of money laundering appeared to be made out against Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, he reacted saying he had full faith in the judiciary and the investigating agencies and the false and fabricated cases made against him would fall flat as before.
The Chief Minister said that the PIl filed by Prashant Bhushan was listed in Delhi High Court and the court did not make any adverse order or comment against him.
He said former Chief Minister PK Dhumal was misleading the people by commenting on the court proceedings.”Ever since Assembly elections were announced in the State in 2012 and I was asked to lead the election campaign by the Congress High Command, Dhumal, his sons and associates have been personally targeting me with an ulterior political motive, firstly with an objective of stopping the Congress from forming the Government and thereafter to destabilise the Congress Government,” he said in a statement.
Singh claimed that his entire life was devoted to the development of the State and welfare of its people was an open book for all. The Delhi High Court has asked the Income Tax Department to file before it tax assessment record and other documents of the Chief Minister within a week.
