Enough signs to probe Hooda: Hry

After announcing thorough probe into the land deals of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Roberta Vadra, the Haryana Government on Thursday gave enough indications to investigate the “issues concerning former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda” too.

“The State Government is already getting investigated the issue of licenses given by the previous Government for commercial colonies in Sector 83, Gurgaon, including Vadra-DlF deal…if necessary, we would also get the issues concerning former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda investigated,” said the Chief Minister Manohar lal, while interacting with the media after addressing a Vikas Rally organised by Minister of State for Food and Supplies Karan Dev Kamboj at Indri in Karnal district on Thursday.

Notably, former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda was known for distributing Change of land Use (ClUs) to his own men besides helping Vadra-DlF’s shoddy land deal.

Besides, it was Hooda Government which had conducted an eyewash enquiry for Vadra-DlF land deal and later gave it a clean chit. The government had, in fact, punished the whistle blower in the matter, a senior IAS officer Ashok Khemka.

Around 16,000 acres of land was released during Hooda rule in Haryana from the official acquisition process after it had issued notifications to acquire them for “public purpose”.

About 2,602.58 acres of land was released by Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA), under the Hooda government, in just three districts — Gurgaon, Sonipat and Rohtak. Even records also reveal that a bulk of the land thus released was obtained by private real estate developers.

The figures further show that of the 16,000 acres released, the then government subsequently issued over 175 Change of land Use (ClUs)/ colony licences on 4,636.608 acres.

In Gurgaon district alone, around 1,400 acres notified for acquisition for “public purpose” in sectors 58-64 and 65-67 were released from the acquisition process. last September, the Supreme Court had sought details of each sale deed of the land that was sold after it was released.
