Haryana and Punjab Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki on Friday said that our educational institutions have an enormous responsibility for building the nation through the enrichment of higher education system.
“It is, therefore, imperative that there is an ideal integration of programmes of teaching, research, work experience and community development to enhance professional competence of our students to enable them to contribute to the nation,” said the Governor while delivering his convocation address at the Rattan Group of Institutions.
The Governor asked the students to imbibe the concept of 4-D, i.e. determination, dedication, discipline and dignity for labour if you want to be successful in your lives. Congratulating the students who have won the medals, Solanki, appreciated the role of the faculty and the Institution for their contribution in shaping the career of students and promoting the interests of the society and the country at large.
The Governor said that we must utilize all resources available at our disposal to explore and develop the potential of our students by stretching their abilities through innovative programmes. We have a responsibility to ensure that our youth receives a proper education. Our educational institutions, therefore, should be the place where students learn and practice, discipline, tolerance and balanced reasoning, he added.
