Himachal Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Wednesday asked the Election Commission of India to probe the massive poll expenditure and sources of BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
Addressing a rally at Swarghat and Jukhala of Hamirpur parliamentary constituency, Singh said that Election Commission of India should take suo moto notice and order probe to the sources of poll expenditure made by Modi.
“Crores of rupees are being spent on electronic media for the publicity of Narendra Modi and the source and use needs to be probed," he said adding that election commission should probe the sources and entire details of poll expenditure.
He said that Hamirpur parliamentary constituency candidate Rajendra Rana of Congress has sacrificed his four years of legislatorship for the party and in today's context he is the most formidable candidate for the party from the constituency.
He alleged that former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal ran the State Government like a dictator and used un-parliamentary languages against political opponent and made fabricated cases.
Strangely Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh was all praise for former Chief Minister and BJP's Kangra candidate Shanta Kumar and said that he had difference of opinion on the policies of Kumar but he was not an enemy and he always did politics of principles. "For Dhumal every political opponent is an enemy," said Singh.
