Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Tuesday said that the dynastic politics of the Gandhi family which India saw after Independence has hampered the country’s progress.
Manohar Lal, while addressing the Vijay Sankalp Rally at Surajpur, which is part of Ambala Lok Sabha constituency from where sitting MP Rattan Lal
Kataria is the BJP’s candidate, said that if there had been no dynastic rule, the country would have been at the top of the world.
He said that the dynasts have derailed India’s progress.
Referring to the visit of Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to Haryana, the Chief Minister said that she has come to the state searching for land for her husband Robert Vadra.
The Congress, which ruled the country for most periods after Independence Is responsible for the backwardness and poverty in the country today. The Gandhi family did not want anyone else to attain the seat of power at the Centre, he added.
Besides the Congress, the Chief Minister attacked the two other opposition parties – INLD and JJP – saying the two parties only considered their own well being. They filled their homes and worked for the welfare of their relatives, he said adding that only the sons and grandson of leaders of the two parties are flourishing.
He further said that the two parties due to their family feuds are trying to outsmart each other with the result that the state is suffering. Those parties which are faced with internal bickering can never develop the state; he said adding that time has come to eliminate dynastic rule and family rule.
Manohar Lal said that the ongoing elections are not routine Lok Sabha elections. The process of change started in 2014 when Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister. The time has come to ensure the return of Modi so that the systems can be further set right to ensure corruption free administration and development of all sections of the society in different spheres, he said.
The Chief Minister further said that if the BJP returned to power the government will give pension to all having monthly income of Rs 15,000.
Manohar Lal taking a dig at the opposition said that on May 23, on their defeat they will put the blame of EVMs, which, however, is acceptable when the Congress recently won the State Assembly elections in three states of Rajasthan,Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
