Dushyant and Digvijay preparing for a show of strength at Dec 9 Jind rally

After their father Ajay Chauatala announced to float a new political party, Hisar MP Dushyant Chautala and INSO chief Digvijay Chautala have geared up to stage a show of strength at Jind rally on December 9, when the name of their party will be announced.

In absence of former INLD leader Ajay Chautala, who is facing a 10-year jail term along with his father INLD chief OP Chautala since 2013 in a teachers’ recruitment scam, Dushyant and Digvijay have been regularly holding meetings to muster support for their Jind rally.

Dushyant Chautala has taken the responsibility of Hisar and Jind districts to maximise the mobilisation of people to attend the Jind rally while his younger brother Digvijay has been given Kaithal to ensure large number of participation from the district.

Dushyant is also visiting various districts to meet his supporters and invite them for the rally.

The rebel INLD MLAs, Anoop Dhanak from Uklana and Rajdeep Phogat from Dadri will also be working to mobilize people for the rally.

While Anoop Dhanak will look after Fatehabad district, Rajdeep Phogat has been given responsibility of Dadri and Jhajjar. Apart from this, supporters have been given responsibility of 22 districts to ensure maximum participation at the rally.

Former INLD national spokesperson, KC Bangar said that Ajay and Dushyant’s supporters have also decided to visit villages of the state to invite people for Jind rally. Dushyant will also be visiting Sonipat on November 27 to invite people for the rally, he said.

Ajay Chautala will announce the name of his party at the rally following a split in the Indian National Lok Dal, a result of the power struggle between him and his younger brother Abhay Chautala.

Abhay is Leader of opposition in Haryana Assembly and INLD’s MLA from Ellenabad.

Notably, the announcement to float the new party was made by Ajay at Jind on November 17 days after INLD patriarch OP Chautalahad expelled three family members from the party—first his grandsons Hisar MP Dushyant and Digvijay, and then Ajay—for alleged “anti-party activities”.

Ajay’s wife and Dabwali MLA, Naina Chautala has been spared from any disciplinary action as of now.

Ajay, who was recently out on parole for 15 days had also announced that his party will contest both Lok Sabha and assembly polls scheduled next year in the state. He had also hinted at attending the December 9 rally to launch his party.

Meanwhile, the resignations continued to pour in the support of Ajay Chautala. Several INLD workers in Bhiwani announced resignation from the party.

BJP’s state executive committee member Jai Bhagwan Sharma has also resigned from his post on Friday and announced to join the new outfit which would be floated next month by Ajay Chautala.

Sharma, while talking to the mediapersons in Kurukshetra said that when he joined the BJP before the 2014 assembly polls, he was assured a party ticket from his hometown Thanesar.

"However later on, I was asked to contest from Pehowa against my wish. Later (after losing the polls), I was not only ignored by the BJP government but also humiliated," he alleged.

Showering praise at Ajay Chautala and his son Dushyant Chautala, he said leaders like them have the vision to take the state ahead.

Sharma added that he will hold a big rally at Kurukshetra grain market on December 3 to welcome Dushyant Chautala to the town.
