Dushyant, Digvijay Chautala meet sr Chautala to resolve crisis in INLD

To put an end to the feud in Haryana’s politically influential Chautala family, Indian National Lok Dal patriarch and former Chief Minister O P Chautala on Wednesday met his grandsons Hisar MP Dushyant Chautala and his younger brother Digvijay Chautala.

The meeting was held in New Delhi and senior party leader Abhay Chautala, who is OP Chautala’s younger son was also present during the meeting.

Though there is no official word on what transpired in the meeting between them,  it is learnt that both Dushyant and Digvijay explained their position over various issues and efforts were made to resolve the crisis in INLD, before OP Chautala returns to jail on completion of his parole this week.

After the meeting, Dushyant and Digvijay also went to meet their father Ajay Chautala in Tihar Jail.

INLD's state secretary general Ajay Singh Chautala along with his father OP Chautala are currently serving jail term in the teachers' recruitment scam.

Last week, there were reports of suspension of Hisar MP Dushyant Chautala and his younger brother Digvijay Chautala from the party. But no one from the INLD confirmed their suspension.

While the party leaders termed the reports of suspension as ‘rumors’, Leader of opposition and senior party leader Abhay Singh Chautala had claimed having no knowledge about the same.

The rift within the Chautala family had came to the fore  last week, when OP Chautala had dissolved the party's student and youth wings — headed by Dushyant and Digvijay respectively

Digvijay Singh Chautala, who was national president of now-disbanded INSO had claimed that the INSO cannot be dissolved by anyone except its founding member Ajay Chautala and its executive committee while Abhay Chautala had maintained that OP Chautala is fully authorised to take any decision in this regard and it does not matter who says what.
