A 33-year old doctor working at Fortis hospital in Mohali, committed suicide on Thursday by jumping into the Sukhna lake. No suicide note was found from the spot.
Ashish Kapoor, DSP (central) said that the deceased has been identified as Dr Dinesh Kumar, a resident of Sarabha Nagar of ludhiana. He was working in the Radiology department of Fortis Hospital at Mohali.
The Chandigarh police control room on Thursday afternoon received information from a local resident that a dead body of a young person is floating in Sukhna lake near stairs number 4.
A police team reached the spot and fished out the body with the help of divers. Police also searched for suicide note, however no note was found from the body.
The deceased was identified by police with the help of identity card and other papers recovered from his pocket.
