DIVIDED AAP STAGES WAlKOUT

Published on:

Differences between AAP MlAs surfaced once again with some of the legislators hesitating in walking out of the House.

As the Speaker refused the AAP and lIP members to raise the issue of charging water royalty from the neighbouring states of Delhi and Rajasthan on the basis of the resolution passed by the previous House, leader of Opposition Sukhpal Khaira asked the party MlAs to walk out, while his party colleagues Aman Arora, Sarabjit Kaur Manuke, Kanwar Sandhu, Prof Baljinder Kaur, looked reluctant to follow him.

While following him on way out of the House, at least eight MlAs grouped together discussing whether to walk out or stay back. However, they decided to toe their “leader’s” line.

On the first day, two AAP MlAs stayed back even as the rest of the party members staged walkout during the Governor’s address. Khaira had later said that a show cause notice will be issued to them.
