Punjab Congress Vice President and Chief Spokesperson Sunil Jakhar on Wednesday asked Punjab government to make public the Justice Zora Singh commission report on Behbal Kalan firing incident.

Talking to media in Chandigarh, Jakhar said that it has been two months since Justice Zora Singh submitted his report on the Behbal Kalan firing but the government had been sitting silent on the report and nothing has been done against the people, who were responsible for killing of two peaceful protesters.

Raising demand of tabling the report before the assembly during the Monsoon Session, Jakhar said that people of the state have the right to know the outcome of the probe that which was ordered by the government to pacify the people when the state was on a boil.

He said that if Haryana could provide the Parkash Singh Panel report on administrative failures online, on the incidents of Jat reservation row, Punjab should also disclose Justice Zora Singh Commission report for public. So that public come to know the people, who had ordered firing on the peaceful protesters in Behbal Kalan.

Jakhar said that the law and order situation in the state seemed to have gone out of the hands of Police even as the growing number of incidents and continuous failure of police to nab the culprits had posed new challenges for the people of the state.
