Haryana Home department has asked the Director General of Police and all District Magistrates in the State to adhere to the guidelines issued by National Human Rights Commission for conducting magisterial enquiry in cases of death in custody or in course of police action.
A spokesman of Home Department said that according to guidelines the enquiry in such cases should be conducted at the earliest without undue delay. The enquiry magistrate should visit the place of occurrence to be acquaintance with the facts on ground.
