Already in poll-mode, Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal on Wednesday announced that development and performance of last seven years in Punjab would be the poll plank of SAD-BJP alliance in the ensuing lok Sabha polls.
“Punjab has made massive strides in power, infrastructure, administrative sectors besides maintaining peace and communal harmony in the state,” he claimed. Exhorting electorate to differentiate between development and performance vision of SAD-BJP alliance and previous misrule of Congress party, Sukhbir said that he was convinced that people would recognise development, progress and all-round prosperity. “SAD-BJP Government is looking after interests of all sections of society. We have ensured speedy development in rural areas and changed the face of major cities besides establishing key infrastructure including modern airports,” he said after launching statewide drive to equip more than 12,000 villages of state with modern facilities.
