Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal on Thursday said the main agenda of the SAD-BJP Government in Punjab is development and claimed that the development carried out during the previous 9 years by the Government is matchless. He termed 2016 as devoted to development which would give a revolutionary facelift to Punjab.
Addressing media persons at grain market during sangat darshan programmes, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the State Government has constituted a special fund earmarking `6,000 crore for development of rural areas and `4,000 crore for upliftment of urban areas.
Terming sangat darshan as great initiative, he said that this helps in connecting directly with the people and resolving their problems on the spot itself.
