The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju has assured Chandigarh MP Kirron Kher that all development projects of Chandigarh will be expedited and approval in this regard will speed up at the Central levels. Interacting with city MP Kirron Kher and senior BJP leaders at the party office in Sector 33 here, he also said that the Centre will ensure that the deteriorating law and order situation in Chandigarh is improved. While addressing the BJP workers, Rijiju said, “It is important to control the increasing crime rate in Chandigarh, to develop it as a smart city.”
