Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal on Tuesday said that Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim has assured that he will appear before the Panchkula court , which will pronounce a verdict in a rape case against the dera chief on August 25. The Chief Minister, while talking to the mediapersons at Haryana Niwas said that the officials have contacted Dera chief and followers to ensure that peace is maintained across Haryana in view of verdict in the case.
The State Government has made elaborate security arrangements to maintain law and order situation in Haryana. All security measures have been taken whether it is on the route of travel of dera chief on August 25 from Sirsa to Panchkula or at court premises, said Manohar lal.
The Chief Minister also made an appeal to dera followers to assist the State Government in maintaining peace across Haryana.
