Deputy CM: Haryana making efforts to formulate uniform industrialisation policy

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala on Thursday said the BJP-JJP Government is making strenuous efforts to formulate a policy for uniform industrialisation across the State.

“The Government is taking steps towards exporting 140 products in 140 blocks of the State and, for this the Government has taken an initiative in the name of ‘Padma’ initiative, under which ‘One Block-One Product’ is being encouraged,” Dushyant said while holding a meeting with senior officers of Industries and Commerce, Revenue and Disaster Management, MSME, Development and Panchayat Department and other departments regarding the ‘Padma’ initiative.

The Deputy Chief Minister, who also holds the portfolio of Industries and Commerce and Development and Panchayats, directed the officers to study the policies of other States to promote rural industry before finalising the ‘Padma’ initiative programme.

He said in many villages of the State such quality products are being prepared by skilled people which can fetch them good prices at national and international level markets, but due to lack of knowledge, they are forced to sell at local level at a very low price.

Dushyant informed that it is the intention of the State Government to form a cluster in each block for the best products produced by the people of that block, where plots can be made available to the people for setting up MSMEs industries.

The facilities like electricity, water, road, bank, common service centre will be provided in this cluster, he added.

He added it is the endeavour of the State Government to cooperate in exporting the products of these small entrepreneurs with the help of big companies so that they can get good prices for their products.
