Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister OP Dhankar on Tuesday said that the state would be largely benefited from the experience of dairy industries of Israel.

Dhankar is currently leading  a high level delegation to Israel from September 23 to 28 to study advance technologies in dairy cattle. The state delegation led by him on Tuesday visited three modern dairies in Israel.

The delegation visited Emek Hefer region, Kefar Vitkin and Givat Haim Meuchad and made an in-depth study of various arrangements made for the cows in the dairy including their living conditions, fodder and milking.

After the visit, Dhankar said that maximum cattle in Haryana are reared in homes and the dairy industry in the state is also not modernized yet. Therefore, keeping in view the present day requirement, we also have to develop dairy as an industry. It would enhance the milk production as well as income of cattle rearers, he added.
