Haryana Government has announced that all Defence personnel, posted at peace stations, who are not registered as voters can get themselves enrolled as general electors. Shrikant Walgad, Haryana Chief Electoral Officer, said that such persons can submit their application by submitting the Form 6 to the Electoral Registration Officer or Assistant Electoral Registration Officer. He said that filling up of part IV of Form 6 is mandatory by the applicant. Also, the applicant would have to furnish a declaration attached with the form, stating that his name is not registered in any electoral roll relates to defense personnel. If so, then such defense personnel would not be eligible to register themselves in general electoral roll.
