Giving a big relief to the contenders of a teaching job in Punjab, the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Thursday directed the State Government to declare the result of PSTET within a month, and thereafter allow 15 days to the successful participants of PSTET to be held on Dec 13, 2015, for applying for the jobs of Master Cadre.
Justice GS Sandhawalia in his judgment, indicted the Punjab Government for its repeated conduct in not conducting the PSTET examination once each year, and conducting recruitment process for various posts, requiring PSTET pass as a necessary qualification, by fixing cut off date for receipt of such applications prior to date of conducting such PSTET examination.
Justice Sandhawalia referred to a judgment given by HC on July 19, 2013 directing the State of Punjab to conduct PSTET every year so that prospective candidates for various teaching posts may get an opportunity of acquiring PSTET Certificates.
