To make the bureaucrats accountable for various development works in the state, Haryana Government has directed all deputy commissioners and superintendents of police to submit an action taken report on various schemes and initiatives.

In an orders issued by the Chief Secretary office, the DCs/SPs have been directed to submit action taken report on the decision taken during a conference in August presided over by the Chief Minister, to their respective Administrative Secretaries by the fifth day of each succeeding month. The Administrative Secretaries will then submit the same to the monitoring and coordination cell of Chief Minister by the tenth of each succeeding month.

The monitoring and coordination cell of Chief Minister will then review the implementation of various initiatives at district level besides reviewing the performance of various bureaucrats.

To making bureaucracy performance-oriented, accountable and more efficient, the Chief Minister has entrusted the officials in his office with a task to conduct field surveys in the state to review performance of bureaucrats besides evaluating the implementation of various government schemes at grassroot level.

The CM direction’s directions came after the allegations of BJP MlAs and opposition that the bureaucrats in the state do not listen to them and benefits of several schemes are not reaching to the people of the state.
