Damage control exercise by the ruling Hooda Govt: Jhinda

Talking to The Pioneer, Haryana Gurudwara Prabandhak committee president Jagdish Singh Jhinda termed the move as damage control exercise by the Congress-led State Government for Assembly elections later this year in the State.

He said it was long pending demand of the Sikh community, but the Bhupinder Singh Hooda Government issued notification regarding it on purpose when the Assembly elections are due in October this year. “The performance of the Congress party was very poor in lok Sabha elections and HGPC boycotted the party in Haryana during these elections over Sikh related issues”, said Jhinda.
