The head of Congress’ Disciplinary Action Committee GK Chatrath on Thursday made it clear that summoning a member of the party’s all powerful decision making body — Congress Working Committee — is not out of its bounds.
“I can call even the CWC member after taking due permission of the party high command…I would deem it fit to take high command into confidence before acting against a CWC member,” said Chatrath, while responding to a query whether the Committee would serve notice on former Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh for seeking Bajwa’s resignation.
“As of now, we did not have any proof that any Congress candidate faced defeat because of Capt Amarinder who himself defeated BJP stalwart Arun Jaitley from Amritsar,” he said.
