Congress’ Sri Anandpur Sahib MP and national spokesperson Manish Tewari on Sunday expressed grave concern over the growing polarization in the country in the aftermath of the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
“Current situation in the country is cause of serious concern, which can have adverse impact on the
socio-economic life of the nation,” Tewari said, while addressing a public meeting in Kansal village in Kharar assembly segment.
Tewari said that the Congress party believed in the politics of development, for which mutual harmony and peace plays an important role.
Emphasizing that there would be no shortage of development in the Lok Sabha
constituency, Tewari said that the current situation in the country was very critical and the citizenship law was being opposed everywhere.
He also mentioned various activities being undertaken by the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh for the overall development of the State.
