In order to enhance cashless transactions and facilitate commuters, the Chandigarh Transport Undertaking will soon initiate the process of digital payments for tickets.
The CTU will introduce electronic ticket vending machines to facilitate the commuters on CTU buses including both local and long-route buses to make digital payments for tickets.
Confirming this, a senior officer of Transport Department said that the digital payment will be introduced in about month’s time in the buses of the CTU to facilitate the commuters.
Initially, 325 electronic machines would be procured for the implementation of the digital payments, he said.
