Create a best tagline and get cash reward

To incentivise implementation of Housing for All scheme, Haryana Government has decided to give cash award of Rs 50,000 to one who would suggest best "tagline — a catchphrase or small group of words" for a village or town having declared housing facility for all.

The State Government has also decided to do away with the age-old practice of obtaining affidavits to facilitate eligible beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) which is being implemented in the state. Self declaration on a plain paper will now replace the affidavit, said Rajesh Khullar, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister at a review meeting on PMAY held here.

The chairman of the Housing Board, Jawahar Yadav, who is also in-charge, state-wide planning and monitoring of 'Housing for All' scheme, was also present during the meeting.

Reviewing the progress made under the scheme, Khullar asked the officers concerned to begin a competition scheme on the websites of the department. Those who would be able to suggest best tagline for the areas that would achieve the status of 'Housing for All' would be rewarded with prize money of Rs 50,000. The scheme would be applicable to both rural and urban areas, he said.

Yadav said houses would be constructed as per the demand survey both in urban and rural areas. A special task force under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister Manohar lal, has been constituted for effective implementation of the scheme, and to ensure that each family in the state has own house by 2019, he said.
