As the advent of Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab is giving sleepless nights to the main political parties of the state, Congress has decided to deploy its leaders from Delhi to counter AAP, which has its Government in the national Capital.
Congress has decided to deploy its senior leaders from Delhi in Punjab to campaign for the party and ‘expose’ AAP, confirmed party’s Delhi unit chief Ajay Maken.
“Yes, we know that leaders of AAP from Delhi will campaign in Punjab and to counter them, we have decided to put all our senior leaders from Delhi in Punjab for extensive campaign in Punjab,” said Maken.
He said that since Delhi leaders know the ‘misdeed’ of AAP very well and capable to counter AAP’s ‘hollow’ agenda, they would be camping in Punjab to campaign extensively.
Maken was in Punjab as part of Congress’ campaign to counter second anniversary celebrations of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government.
“Congress has decided to highlight the failure of Modi Government during its first two years of rule. Our leaders will go to different states where failure of NDA will be highlighted on the basis of data available on government’s website itself,” said former Union Minister Maken on Thursday.
