Haryana Congress president Kumari Selja on Monday said the party has finalised the list of candidates for the Assembly election and it will be declared after seeking approval from National Election Committee on Tuesday.
The meeting of State Election Committee was held and the names of candidates on constituency wise were discussed in details and finalised on Monday. The first list of candidates will be declared by Tuesday evening, she said, adding the State Election Committee members have also chalked out a strategy throughout the day to win the Assembly election.
The State Congress president said that during the meeting, the party leaders and workers were encouraged to work unitedly to defeat the BJP in all the constituencies of the State.
Selja said that after Congress party comes into power, the government will send the drug and illegal mining mafia into jail.
Attacking at BJP, she said that there was rampant illegal mining in the State under BJP- ruled government in five years. She alleged that BJP leaders looted the natural resources of the State for five years through illegal mining. Congress led government in the State will conduct an inquiry over this issue and guilty leaders will be sent to jail, she said, adding Congress policy on the issue of employment is completely clear.
SLOGAN OF 'HARYANA BACHAO, CONGRESS LAO'
Selja said that the strategy of election has been made to a large extent and Congress is going to the electoral battle on the slogan of ‘Haryana Bachao, Congress Lao’. She said Congress candidates will go door to door with this slogan. She said the public will be made aware of the anti-people policies of the BJP government.
