Cong leader Surjewala lashes out at Hry Govt

Senior Congress leader and communications in-charge of the party, Randeep Singh Surjewala on Monday lashed out at the Manohar Lal Khattar Government accusing it of being a “mute spectator” to the loot of farmer’s hard work and livelihood in Haryana.

“Farmers are facing insurmountable misery and exploitation as an autocratic Haryana Government has become a mute spectator. By not conducting a ‘special girdawari’ and by not paying a single penny of compensation, the anti-farmer face of Haryana Government has got unmasked,” Randeep said while talking to the mediapersons here.

He alleged that rampant bungling and malfeasance in procurement of paddy and bajra crops have broken the back of Haryana’s farmers.

The double whammy is that on one side, farmers are being deprived of even MSP and on the other side, untimely rains – hailstorm – water logging has destroyed 25 percent  to 40 percent of crops in the state, he  claimed.
