All Congress parliamentarians and legislators from Punjab will join Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh in paying obeisance at Sri Harmandar Sahib, Amritsar, on Monday morning.
Chief Minister is scheduled to visit the Golden Temple from 8 am to 9 am, before going to Jallianwala Bagh to pay homage to the martyrs. Other programmes on his Amritsar agenda for Monday include a visit to Durgiana Mandir and then the Sri Ram Tirath Sthal.
Capt Amarinder, who reached Amritsar on Sunday evening after a visit to Tarn Taran, had been planning the Golden Temple visit since taking over the reins of the government in the state but had been constrained by work issues and the relapse of his foot injury problem, with doctors advising him restricted movement, an official spokesperson said.
Spokesperson said that the Chief Minister, who was accompanied in Tarn Taran by cabinet colleagues Rana Gurjit Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu, besides the local MlA, will be joined by the other MPs and MlAs in Amritsar.
From Amritsar, Captain Amarinder is scheduled to travel to Hoshiarpur on Monday evening to visit Citrus Estate in village Chowni Kalan and a new, state-of-the-art Sonalika tractor manufacturing facility on Jalandhar-Hoshiarpur Road.
