Chandigarh BJP president Sanjay Tandon on Thursday alleged that the Congress is forcing the BJP party workers to join their party or else face stern action by the UT Administration.
The allegations were leveled after the UT Estate office carried out a demolition drive in Kishangarh on Thursday. About 10 illegal warehouses were demolished during the drive.
Tandon also reached the site of demolition drive with party workers and protested against the drive. He alleged that constructions of only BJP workers are targeted by the UT Administration during demolition drive as UT is working under the directions of the Congress here.
He added, “The BJP workers having warehouses in Kishangarh were earlier asked by the Congress to join the party or else face stern action by the UT Administration.”
Tandon alleged that the demolition drive was carried out on the directions of Congress. He added that the officials of UT Administration would soon face consequences of their biased actions.
Meanwhile, an official of Estate office said, “The demolition drive was carried out peacefully in Kishangarh and a total of 10 illegal warehouses were demolished. The Government land was acquired for the development of IT Park Phase III. And, the warehouses were constructed by encroaching upon the Government land.”
