Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) on Tuesday criticized the resolution passed by Anurag Thakur led HPCA in which the cricket body had criticized state government for taking action against it. HPCC spokesperson Naresh Chauhan condemned the move of HPCA in which the cricket body had criticised Congress led state government and said that the resolution is nothing more than an attempt of Anurag Thakur to make his political career and he is trying to hide the irregularities committed by him.
“Thakur has no right to criticize chief minister Virbhadra Singh or the State Government, as he has indulged in commercialization of cricket while former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal had indulged in commercialization of politics,” said Chauhan. Chauhan added that by conducting investigations into the irregularities committed by HPCA, the state government is not indulging into vendetta politics but it is an attempt to find out the truth as it is not yet clear whether the cricket body registered by Anurag Thakur is a society or a company.
“If Anurag Thakur hadn't committed anything, he needn't worry as the state’s Vigilance department is conducting investigations into the case as per the laws,” said Chauhan.
