Haryana Congress legislative Party meeting on Tuesday passed a resolution unanimously and condemned the large scale loss of life and property during “Jat reservation stir” and total failure of BJP Government led by Manohar lal Khattar to contain the violence.
Congress further condemned the blame put by BJP Government on former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and party in Haryana Vidhan Sabha and outside for the violence during Jat agitation last month.
They also condemned the keeping of Congress MlAs outside the House and blaming them in the house in their absence under a well planned undemocratic conspiracy. It is against the democratic values to blame an MlA who is not present in the House to answer such charges, said Kiran Chaudhary, leader of Congress legislative Party.
She said that the position of the BJP Government before and at the time of violence clearly shows its total failure. The State Government has proved totally unpopular during a short period of more than one and a half years and it was following the vote bank politics.
The Congress in a statement issue said that there are a large number of evidences which show that the BJP Ministers, MPs and MlAs, alongwith its ally INlD, provoked violence and then the Government remained a mute spectator and neither took any effective steps nor showed determination to contain the violence.
The State Government is itself the perpetrator of violence during Jat agitation which killed 30 people. It has shown the vote bank politics of BJP by dividing the old age brotherhood. Chief Minister, Finance Minister Capt. Abhimanyu, OP Dhankhar and MP Raj Kumar Saini are the real perpetrators of violence and for the sake of political gain, they are promoting castism and also striking at the brotherhood, alleged COngress.
The party said that the people of Haryana wants to know as to why such a large scale violence occurred and was allowed to occur inspite of Army, Para Military Forces and Police presence in Haryana.
The truth of this fact can only come out if the matter it got inquired into by a Sitting Judge of the Supreme Court and not by any other Ordinary Commission. Such a Commission can also look into the role of the BJP led Haryana Government in spreading violence during Jat stir, Congress demanded.
Congress MlAs are being kept outside the Haryana Vidhan Sabha against the rules so that we may not ask Questions and the Government. may not give Answer to these Questions. The Audio of BJP MlA Randhir Kapriwas, clearly shows the participation of the Government in the violence. The senior officers of the Government have also admitted that the BJP had failed to control the agitation, said the Congress.
The Haryana Congress legislative Party also condemned the suspension of three Congress MlAs which is totally against the Rules and also one sided.
The BJP has totally failed on the important issues like SYl. But the Congress legislative Party reiterates its commitment for SYl and they are ready to fight for SYl. The fight of truth which has not been allowed in the House, will now be fought outside the House and by going among the Public, said the Congress.
