After sitting MP Pawan Kumar Bansal got Congress ticket, BJP termed the party as a party of hypocrites.
"The Congress move of allotting ticket to Bansal only shows the hypocrisy of the party whose leaders are neck deep involved in various scams and other criminal cases", said BJP, Chandigarh president, Sanjay Tandon. The indictment of a nephew of former Union Railway Minister and sitting Congress MP from Chandigarh, Pawan Kumar Bansal in Railgate by a special court has nailed Bansal once for all, he said.
“The people of Chandigarh should throw corrupt Congress leaders like Bansal out and teach him a lesson in ensuing elections”, he added
