In a hit-and-run incident, a 50-year-old pedestrian died after a speeding vehicle hit him at the red light junction of Sector-20 and 30, late on Monday night.
The deceased, Sandeep Singh, a resident of Sector-20, worked as a conductor in Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU). Police said the incident took place when Singh was on his way to his residence after finishing duty at night. When he reached at the light point of Sector-20/30, an unknown vehicle hit him from behind and sped away after leaving him badly injured.
