Anindita Mitra, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh on Thursday launched ‘Swachh Technology Challenge’ and invited entries with innovative solutions from individuals, startups, NGOs and government as well as private organizations. She said that the objective of this challenge is to promote innovative technology, sustainability and easy-to-use methods under sanitation and solid waste management. The entries for Challenge will be received via given QR code in the Google form till 30th November, 2022. The top three solutions across the City Beautiful will be felicitated in an award function in the month of December, 2022. The cash prizes declared under Swachh Technology Challenge for the best three entries are Rs. 1,00,000 for first winner, Rs. 51,000 for second winner and Rs. 21,000 for the third winner,” the Commissioner said. Mitra said that the organizations and individuals have been invited to come up with ideas to improve waste management in the city by using innovative technology under four categories which are Social Inclusion, Zero Dump, Plastic Waste Management and Transparency.
