Social Welfare Department, Chandigarh Administration organized an orientation programme on Gender Sensitization in Guru Gobind Singh College for Women Sector 26. A panel of counselors and professionals from Chandigarh Child and Welfare Development Corporation and WHCl sensitized the students on various gender issues like Domestic violence, child abuse and human trafficking. UTCPS which is a child protection society talked about juveniles and explained the terms "conflict with law" and "contact with law". Social, Psychological, Educational and legal aspects were also discussed. Students were also made aware of the various vocational training programmes. Students were also motivated to be involved in the social welfare. Principal of the college Charanjeet Kaur Sohi appreciated the efforts of the Social Welfare Department.
