Coalition break-up a relief for HJC ticket seekers

The break-up of HJC-BJP alliance has come as a great relief for those HJC leaders who have been carrying out public contact programme in their area concerned in the wake of coming Assembly elections but were quite apprehensive about cancellation of their candidature in case the alliance continued.

Such prospective HJC candidates have now not only become confident about getting the party ticket but also chalked out poll strategy to intensify their campaign in coming days in a bid to take a lead over their rival candidates in terms of canvassing.

Sources said the HJC leadership had also convened massage to the party leaders and workers across the state to pull up their socks for the assembly polls as many ticket aspirants were waiting for the alliance’s fate before launching of their poll campaign.

“Most of our leaders were confused about their poll fortune due to uncertainty over the alliance prospects since ever the lok Sabha elections,” said Kusum Sharma, state general secretary of the HJC.

She maintained “Since candidature of such leaders had become highly dependent upon seat-sharing formula in case of continuation of coalition hence they were not in a position to take a final call about their poll fortune. Now they are feeling comfortable and set to launch election campaign with full spirit.”

Meanwhile, dubbing the decision to snap tie-up with BJP as ‘favourable’ for the HJC cadre, a former MlA and HJC candidate from Ateli, Naresh Yadav, said the party leaders had heaved a sigh of relief after the break-up as the BJP was deliberately wasting our time by lingering on the issue unnecessarily.

Now, the HJC candidates will be able to spend ample time to reach the masses for seeking votes,” said Yadav, adding new alliance with Venod Sharma’s Jan Chetna Party would also boost the morale of the HJC leaders and workers.
