Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Sunday urged the Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan to immediately depute a site selection team to finalise the site of the AIIMS in the State.
In a letter to Dr Harsh Vardhan, Badal informed him that the state government had identified four sites in district Kapurthala. “The land and requisite infrastructure would be made available as per Ministry requirement. I am extremely grateful to Dr Harsh Vardhan for supporting state’s case of having AIIMS during a recent meeting with him in mid of June,” he added.
