CM should take moral responsibility for politicising SIT inquiry: Harsimrat

Union Food Processing Industries Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Sunday said that Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh should own moral responsibility for politicising unfortunate incidents of police action in

Kotkapura and Behbalkalan after the chargesheet filed by “his blue eyed officer” had been debunked by the entire SIT team of senior police officers.

Harsimrat Kaur Badal, addressing large public meetings as part of her thanksgiving tour after winning from Bathinda, said that the Chief Minister had been exposed earlier when he took a false pledge in the name of Sri Guru Gobind Singh.

“Now, he has been exposed again with the entire SIT team objecting to politicisation of the inquiry into the police actions and stating on record that   Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh blue-eyed boy IG Kunwar Vijay had filed a chargesheet in the case without even consulting them,” she said.

“This shows how politicised the inquiry has become. Like the Ranjit Singh Commission report, this chargesheet has also apparently been prepared in the Congress Bhawan.  Chief Minister Capt

Amarinder Singh must now take moral responsibility for this and resign forthwith,” she added.

Stating that the reverse countdown of the Congress party has started, the Union Minister said the people had rejected the false propaganda launched against her and punished those who had politicised the issue of sacrilege. “The people have also got fed up of the Congress government’s inability to deliver on its promises,” she said.

Asking the Congress Government to stop resorting to blame-game and clean up its act, Harsimrat said that the health services should not be affected due to the government’s inability to recruit medical teachers

Harsimrat Kaur Badal further added, "We will launch a mass movement to ensure all the facilities extended by the Centre to the people are made available to Punjabis”.
